Wolves and wild dogs also scavenge and eat plants occasionally (or the contents of herbivore stomachs). They are predominantly carnivorous however. Humans (not primitive homo erectus offshoots living in tropical zones) survived on the tundra by hunting.

The Agricultural Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. 10,000 years of declining cranial volume. You don't have to be intelligent to munch foliage, roots and tubers, but you can't be a retard and hunt successfully. Plant matter is a dietary supplement, not a primary source of nutrition.

I guarantee you humans took advantage of berries and nuts etc far beyond what wolves do as far as eating vegetation. Our intelligence you bring up would lead us to say shit, im hungry, and this mountain is covered in fucking berries. Easy calories with no risk. Yeah, im gonna eat the fuck out of these.

Nuts and berries are far more nutrient dense than leaves. Potatoes are also quite nutritious. Good way to supplement a meat based diet. Ketofags are mostly right.

Nuts especially. Easy way for primitive man to comsume a lot of calories while expending very few, and not risk getting kicked in the face by a fucking moose or some shit
