My hot water pipe busted about a month ago and blew the power out at the same time(fixed now). Damn it was hell. Not being able to take a relaxing shower, wash clothes, house was hot as fresh shit, food went bad, night time was 2 spooky, couldn't entertain myself with electronics, couldn't flush toilet, just really not a good time. Stayed at my dad's house during the day to shower and stuff sometimes. But it really was a eye opener for my family and I on how much we take for granted.

Did 6 months without running water (hot or cold) or electricity in the Caribbean after a hurricane. It's amazing what you can learn to live without.
