I honestly like no smoking in bars, and I smoke when I got to bars. I'm a social smoker, so I'll have one if someone offers. Having to go outside or into a smoking room is okay with me. Your clothes don't totally reek when you leave, and the bars stay a lot cleaner. Plus I'm less likely to chain smoke.
I'm still against it on principle. The government should not be passing laws like this which tell business owners they can't host otherwise legal activities.

As an on again / off again smoker, I am not big for banning smoking. I think there should be smoking bars (like cigar bars) and non smoking bars. And there should be bars with smoking areas that have some exhaust fan type deal do you don't have to go outside.
Bottom line for me is, leave it up to the bars and not pass a bunch of laws. Bar owners will do / adapt for the customers they want. Ie cigar bar will allow smoking and chick bar maybe only have smoking area or no smoking.
