Never in a million years would I ever make a point to have engagement photos taken. It costs money, for one thing. Being the subject of photography is another big one. But...she really enjoyed it. It was her that made my day worth it. All the uncomfortable moments I squashed down in my psyche become worth it because she was so full of light. So so happy we were having our engagement photos taken. Her ideas seemed almost childish to me. Her joy was teetering on the joy only a child can have. While I don't fucking get it I can still appreciate it because of her reaction. I fell a little more in love with this creature today. This emotional mess of a creature couldn't be any more beautiful to me. But there is always tomorrow.
