I make my own mustard. You don't need horseradish to make it hot. It's naturally hot unless you cook it some way.

  • 1/2 cup yellow mustard seed
  • 1/2 cup brown mustard seed
  • 2 cups dry chardonnay
  • 4-6 oz honey

Soak the mustard seeds in the chardonnay, covered, for 3-4 days. Put it in the blender. When it gets too stiff to blend, add some of the honey. Continue. You cannot make this smooth, but it doesn't have to be too grainy if you're willing to put some time into it. (15-20 minutes) Add more of the honey. Blend more. Continue. Check from time to time to be sure it's not getting too warm from the blending. When you're done, put it in a jar in the fridge. Not for the faint of heart. This honey dijon will definitely clear the fuck out of your sinuses.

edit: Incidentally, I get my mustard seeds from two sources: Starwest Botanicals or Frontier Coop. Both surprisingly cheap for the quantity.

edit2: also, you can skip the honey and make a grainy dijon with less time on the blender.

It won't give you a stomach ache. Who the fuck imagines a stomach ache from good, real mustard? Stop it.

heh.. you have no idea how weak my stomach is.... you want to learn real terror... go to the bathroom after i had some maxican..lol
