Funny since I find the french press to be the same or LESS work? Probably because I don't do the washing.
- No filters to buy and deal with (bonus, no chemicals in filters).
- Still have to clean the pot (same as electric).
- Have to boil water which is about as hard as pouring water into coffee maker
- Have to push down plunger which is about as hard as turning on electric
- Bonus can take your pot outside while it's brewing and watch the sunrise
- More control over water temperature
- Never have to clean the coffee system with vinegar or whatever. Always hated doing this.
- Never get that filter fold down where water bypasses coffee
- Coffee has more direct contact with water so end up with better brew
Those are just my reasons. I have no issue with you or anyone liking your coffee maker. I seriously love the french press though.
