On Poal (and Phuks, both based on Throat), posts can be “Changed to text” and “Changed to link” after the submission page has been opened.

On Voat, not only do link posts require a tedious, non-intuitive ?linkpost=true parameter, but one can't just switch between link posts and text posts without leaving the submission page.

There’s a bug in Throat code (fixed on poal) that breaks the UI when you switch back and forth though.
