It's got a nice cast brass clipper ship base, and some cool color glass connectors. The sockets were in bad shape, as was the original shade, those were tossed as they aren't useful and would be replaced anyway.

I'm going to remove the side looking sockets and replace them with modern cast brass units, and double-wire it so one is an accent lamp and one is a for-light lamp. Not sure about the shade, the original was short so I may need to raise the finial up some, but I'm thinking one of the aladdin style nautical shades.

I like old bridge and floor lamps, they have a lot more character than modern stuff.

It doesn't feel like uranium glass, that kind of feels greasy. I think I have an EPROM eraser around, will try that.
