that's pretty neat - all you need now is to outfit it with red lightbulbs, playing some Iron Butterfly and bust out the opium and call it a weekend!
I think I'll skip the drugs.
I am going to outfit one side of it with a warm 2W LED bulb that stays on all the time. The other side will be for room lighting.

I'm not sure. I have some ideas, but it's going to need a bit of modification to implement. I'll probably call up a machinist friend and see if they can make me a piece of brass to raise the shade up.
