For something your grandmother probably paid $0.35 at the discount store for...that's a decent appreciation.

For what they are - cheap ceramic hand painted shakers. Maybe they are just pre-war or post-war Japanese imports, IDK. No lettering on them anywhere.

Japanese stuff probably would have had JAPAN printed on the bottom.

They're probably just from one of the hundreds of ceramics factories that used to litter the Ohio valley.
