I managed to setup a coinbase account this evening to accept donations in the form of cryptos if people want to donate that way. I'm working on getting a couple other methods as well but I'd like to get more of the glitches fixed first. I only did this tonight because it didn't require much brain power.

well pateron is pretty easy to setup too so I think you can donate with credit cards on a monthly basis thing through that.

Well current cost are 50 per year for the domain, 40 per month for the VPS(If we want to ramp things up or do any real dev on the site kind of need to double this so major code changes can be made while not killing the main site). Also I got a free month from the hosting company because they fucked up the deployment of the vps and it took 18 hours before they actually rolled it out. So thats the cost. The only other thing I would ask you guys to consider as we grow is that I would like to be able to admin this place full time, I'm not sure if that will be possible or not but it would be my dream to spend my days fighting for free speech as a job. So if people think thats a good idea and want to fund it great. If not thats okay too.

Is Poal run on a linux box? If not, you should try converting over. Otherwise scalability is going to cost you.

Also one bit I forgot. on the current plan we get 4tb of bandwidth per month. so if we got a huge spike in traffic I would have to increase that and the next step up is 8tb for 60, and 80 for 10tb, beyond that I'm not sure exactly how I would handle it I would either have to implement multiple servers or move to a different host.

You'll probably won't see a massive spike unless word of this place reaches reddit as a new home for banned communities or voat has some really weird shit go down. Given putts latest announcement and 95% of the community giving a collective 'welp okay' I think poal will be relatively quiet 'traffic wise' for awhile.
