Acceleration is enabled. Chromium does the same thing.

I made a few changes, should be better now.

Though it's known Firefox is having HW acceleration issues with CSS animations.

I didn't see any performance difference (FF 60.3.0).

I’d like to help but there’s nothing more I can do at that point. If it happens on both browsers that means there’s something else going on.

Make sure your GPU drivers are the correct ones and are properly installed/set up.
