So when I say good news you all know that means Pauline is back in chat, matrix is back. Its even got all the history!

So enjoy, feel free to join up at PoalChat! Make sure to change your Homeserver to chat.poal.co, because if you use matrix.org you'll end up alone with the other poalrs who made the same mistake. Element is the name of the chat application and there are Apps for Android and iOS feel free to download them and connect that way!

PS. due to the amount of complaints about /s/whatever it will be mod post only until further notice, have a nice day.

If you don't change the server Matrix.org to chat.poal.co then you get the nasty sign up requiring email, google spyware and have to agree to stupid Terms of Service (and probably code of conduct https://matrix.org/legal/code-of-conduct/)

So don't be a noob like I was and change the server name.

Minichat doesn't use Matrix / Elements

Minichat is built-in within Poal and uses gunicorn/redis.

We use a bridge script to connect it to our self-hosted Synapse-Matrix Homeserver instance.

Nothing is being controlled by Matrix.org.

Please do your own research or ask the right question to the right people before coming to a hasty inaccurate conclusion.

You are right, I didn't change Matrix.org server to chat.poal.co

So what I said is correct for Matrix.org sign up but not correct for chat.poal.co

My bad, gonna edit my previous post to adjust it.
