UPDATE The Block user feature just got improved!

Blocking users used to be only preventing them from sending you PM, and mentions/replies to your posts/comments were ignored as well.

This new update will now completely hide all posts from blocked users, their comments in threads will also be automatically collapsed and dimmed, so you will have the ability to still participate in comment threads of users you have blocked.

Because we are trying to save resources for more future features and don't want Poal to turn into an echo-chamber, you'll only be able to block 10 users at a time.

Don't forget to unblock subs you've blocked because of posts made by users you didn't want to see on your front page.

Usage: to block users, go in their profile's sidebar (bottom on mobile). You now also can see blocked users in your profile's sidebar (including users you follow and subs you've blocked).

Newly added posts from blocked users will still appear on top of /all/new when "Experimental features" is enabled in your settings.

Just refresh the page to make them disappear.

We will push an update to fix it.

I haven't had to block anyone so far, but it's nice to have the option should it ever be needed.

That's not what the block feature is for.

Only a ban can prevent an account from posting/commenting in a sub.

Announcements are the links between users and admins.
They are used to share relevant informations regarding Poal.
