So we've seen this talked about this a few times since downvotes on posts became public for users over level 6. The goal of making them public for posts was to prevent brigading and it has been pretty effective. A few users didn't like it and left. I think some of those people came back under new names. So the question is, should we do the same for comments, IE add a comment details button something similar that allows users over level 6 to see who downvoted their comments. We are looking forward to what the community thinks.

How could it be different from "public downvotes" for posts that almost instantly stopped brigading when we enabled that feature last year?

They are not different.

Then it shouldn't get a different outcome, should it?

Just more butthurt retaliatory downvoating. Snowflakes get their feelings hurt.

Why even have votes at all? Set a visibility timer and fee fees can be spared!
