So we've seen this talked about this a few times since downvotes on posts became public for users over level 6. The goal of making them public for posts was to prevent brigading and it has been pretty effective. A few users didn't like it and left. I think some of those people came back under new names. So the question is, should we do the same for comments, IE add a comment details button something similar that allows users over level 6 to see who downvoted their comments. We are looking forward to what the community thinks.

You believe the community, which could also view this behavior, would accept it?

Part of the problem now is this behavior happens anyway, but nobody can see who is doing it.

Seems to me you're intentionally defending this the same way as the subversives on Voat.

First off, you can't source subversives on Voat. That's your interpretation of it, a matter of opinion.

People troll and get massive downvotes on Voat, that's being held accountable. The only ones crying about it are the ones who don't want that accountability.

Coincidentally enough, they are usually the same ones demanding to know who downvoted them as if it's going to make a difference. The only reason to want that info is retaliation.

The only reason to want that info is retaliation.

False dichotomy. Why are you insistent on using Jew tactics to dismiss complex ideas?

What's complex about it? I asked him what other purpose could it serve and he dodged the question and went right for ad hominem.
