That's awesome. A few years ago there was a whale in bad shape off our coast in a similar way and some sailors sailed out and freed him. I tried to, but wrong time and place and I never met up with them or the whale. The ocean is a big place, and that boat was slow [fixed - I have a faster bigger better boat now, but that's beside the point]. I did manage to bring fuel to stranded drunken fishermen who forgot to fill their fuel tanks on the way out, though. Fucking drunks - they immediately wen't full throttle back to the harbor, and burnt up all the fuel in minutes, getting stranded again... and that much fuel would have lasted me months. I offered to tow them in under sail, but we all knew that was silly and they just called seatow or whatever. But I digress.
