It's impossible for Communism to function without taking other peoples' stuff. Thou shalt not steal. QED Communism is evil. A four year old can put that logic together, so "young and mislead" is clearly a cover story for wilfull, malicious evil.

I think that's a very black and White way of looking at it. The oligarchs steal, the petrochemical companies steal, amazon steals, nearly everyone in congress steal, police steal legally. If you take something from me, and I take it back is it stealing? They don't see it as taking from mike the plumber who built up his business over 20 years of 6 day weeks, they see it as redistributing wealth that has been taken immorally.

Attributing evil, or maliciousness to all of one's intellectual enemies doesn't help you to see them for who/what they really are. Just my 2 cents, take it as you will.

My boss is Polish, he lived in Communist Poland for some time as a child, but his family escaped eventually. He ended up doing an Arts degree at uni (no fucking idea why, probably for the pussy) and regails me with tales of his classes chocked full of naive marxists. They'd prattle on about how great communism was until he asked them whether any of them had actually lived in a communist country ... crickets, so he told them to go fuck themselves because the don't know shit. This would have been almost 30 years ago, no doubt it's orders of magnitude worse now.

Telling someone from a former socialist country,or any satellite country of the former USSR, that has been under a communist dictatorship from the end of ww2 to 89-90 that they do not understand what socialism is,and that communism hasn't really been tried yet. Is something that might get you punched in the face,especially if they had a few drinks.
