Nope. That would be interesting. My next 500 build is going to be the overkill tower of power. Ordered a bunch of crap for it that is shipping. Need to find a large flat black tower case that has the largest viewing window possible. I am going to build up a rev.5 1987 board that I re-capped and went over. Overview of build plans here.
This was just a super simple everything you need to play games and demos from 1987-1994, some of the early stuff requires Kickstart 1.1 or 1.2 and 512k chip ram only.
With this setup you can Ctrl+Amiga+Amiga key combo and it spits you into a selection screen and you can load the Kickstart version of your choice on the fly.
The switch has three settings, Up for 1 meg chip ram, middle for 512k chip and 512k ranger/fake fast, and down for just stock 512k chip ram.
I flashed the gotek with the FlashFloppy firware and all you do is organize all your disk images on whatever usb storage you want, boot, hit enter to add multiple images, and hit F10. There are buttons on the side to scroll through your images etc etc.
There are some great classics in that 87-94 time frame. Have fun with your next build.
I will have fun for sure. I can't wait to have a 500 that blows the doors off my expanded 3000. Makes me laugh at how far electronic design has come.
