On this glorious Forth of July morning, I took time to deal with a very annoying clicking sound that was originating from my dash. This noise lasts for about 30 seconds to a minute after ignition.

The source is a bad actuator. Luckily this was easily accessed by pulling the glove box down. I disconnect and remove the actuator. What does it say on the white part sticker? Oh you probably already guessed it!

MADE IN CHINA

No wonder the cheap crap broke!

Thanks Chevy!

That's what happens when you subsidised all their shipping. There's a reason why it's cheaper to make something in China, and send it halfway across the world, than it is to make something in your own country, and sell it on location.

Think how much it costs to send a parcel from your country to China, that's how much more expensive the product SHOULD be.

But don't worry, it's changing soon. The new one will be "made in Vietnam"
