Wow, that is exceptionally researched and written.

If this was a white person from history the #metoo people would be all over this. They'd be ripping down his statues like he was a southern Civil War hero!

If you ever want a really good read, check out Robert E. Lees's memoirs. A first rate leader, a good father and he respected all races. until people get it through their heads that the war between the states was NOT about slavery, we can never fully recover. In the end, history will not be kind to these fly by night figures.
