Well I said nothing but I did program one of them to some local repeaters and to NOAA via chirp. Just haven't done anything beyond that.

well, shit - you're ahead of me. got very frustrated trying to program repeater & pl codes last night

Are you trying to program the radio by the keypad? Coz fuck that. Download CHIRP (chirp.danplanet.com) , it's free, and get yourself a programming cable. May as well grab one of THESE (amazon.com) While you're at it. (I'm assuming you have a UV5R here)
