A plane in that condition isn't worth shit. "Free" just means taking on the burden and doing the previous owner a favor by taking the responsibility of getting rid of it off his hands.
That's a certificated aircraft. Much goes into making it "airworthy". You could easily spend its value just trying to get it there, never getting close. The mechanic doing the work must be an A&P or the work wouldn't even be all that legal.

Yeah, I shared that video when I was half way through thinking it would end up with positive results, but ended up getting bored of nothing happening.
