Try Waterfox or Chromium. I'm pretty sure it's a certificate issue with your browser (do you have 3rd party AdBlock addons/extensions installed?).

Chromium works, I doubt it's a browser issue though.

How do you explain that it works with one browser and not the other?

Torbrowser shows:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to alternativeafrica.com. Peer’s Certificate has been revoked. Error code: SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE

  • The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
  • Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

One browser honors revoked certificates and the other doesn't?

My favorite theories are:

  • Firefox checks some outdated certificates on a CDN, while Chromium always checks the source
  • Chromium doesn't properly check for revoked certificates
