Yep, I'm distressed that my kids, and especially grandkids and great granddaughter, have to grow up in this environment. But it has always been a struggle against the powers of this world for all of us since time began, just different flavors. Nature and music are my best weapons and I try to pass that on to them. Exercising for mental health is every bit as important as physical.

This may sound weird

But the best thing you can do it make them uncomfortable.

We cannot grow without resistance. Everyone is coddled now, which is why we sadly have weak men chopping their penises.

Outdoor activities, camping, difficult hobbies, teaching them hands on skills, bible study, these are the things kids now aren't getting

Oh, I don't want them to be ignorant or unaware of the threats around them. But I also want to empathize there is so much beauty in the world to be experienced and to not neglect the balance.

I've been at this parenting deal for decades and, while always open to new ideas, I am comfortable I'm doing a pretty good job. I see how my grown children are living their lives and am pleased, they are functional and contributing members of society and bring me and others much joy.

Sounds like you've had a happy and successful life friend. Good on you, you're creations are a reflection of one's self.
