Oh, I don't want them to be ignorant or unaware of the threats around them. But I also want to empathize there is so much beauty in the world to be experienced and to not neglect the balance.
I've been at this parenting deal for decades and, while always open to new ideas, I am comfortable I'm doing a pretty good job. I see how my grown children are living their lives and am pleased, they are functional and contributing members of society and bring me and others much joy.
Sounds like you've had a happy and successful life friend. Good on you, you're creations are a reflection of one's self.

I am fighting for my right to live. Jews literally took 3k in tax from me last paycheck after I worked with blood sweat and tears.
My prayer is that I secure an existence, an enclave for my people.
