I've been sucking on mercury fillings for decades. Never did me any harm. The pink elephants tell me it's good for me.
The Mercury in fillings isn't pure Mercury. It's chemically bonded with other elements.
You know how sodium is highly explosive when it comes into contact with water? You know how Chloride is highly toxic? Well, mix them both together and you get table salt a dietary requirement.
It's the same with Mercury. Dangerous by itself, but harmless when mixed with other stuff.
Mercury is in a pan so the silver floats on it keeping it from bonding with other materials. It's just tiny residual from a almost invisible film is on the bottom of the silver exiting the bath. They likely then remove almost all of it before then next step.
If the vax mercury didn't kill you then the teeth likely are not a big deal. If a filling lifts up then try to get it out and not have a piece get swallowed or have the filling grind up and down while chewing causing massive pain.
Your uncles not a pink elephant
