The house I bought, there is a “neighborhood association” I was not aware of this while buying it, they don’t collect dues or have any real power but the people who run it are always getting pissy to get people to come to the meetings because that’s what they want is to turn it into a dues and regulatory thing but fuck that and they would need something like a 90% yes vote and no one wants to pay them.
Yeah, avoid that stuff with a passion. It's an ego, power trip for a few folks that want to impose themselves on everyone else. Like I said, most local governments already have enough restrictions in place to handle any real problems, so why pay someone else to restrict your own life even more.
Yeah not gonna ever go to one of those things. I’ll also encourage others not too, I haven’t even been here and year and my “block captain” already hates me, well too bad dude, I get it your retired and bored, I’d suggest getting a hobby instead of trying to look in my windows all the time.
