If you like that kind of thing, okay ... but if ya want the freedom to do what you wish on your property, the local government probably already has it's own set on BS laws, why buy into more.

Our place isn't that bad. I've never heard of anyone getting fined for anything (not to say it isn't possible). This light thing did tick me off though. It's a basic black fixture. I thought it was looking dingy a year or 2 ago and took it down and sprayed it. My light looked good, then bam you have to install this new fixture.

LOL - some are better than others. Many though have old geezers like me on the HOA board with nothing better to do in life than drive around looking for the dumbest things so they can pitch a fit.
