We have significantly downsized through the china virus impact last year and now there seems to be to much to do. I am grateful to be working but really don't know how to handle the amount of work that is being requested of me short of working 70 or more hours a week. I just ad a meeting with one of my bosses and they now want me to pick up yet more tasks, this time are out of my skill set.

I maybe I am just whining but I am like... I don't even know what to do. Its like when everything is a priority--nothing is a priority--but the demands still come.

Just a heads up. This is when the scapegoating begins and coworkers begin pointing fingers. Office politics are nothing if not predictable.

Honestly? Stop caring, take the paycheck and do the bare minimum. This same company will happily shitcan your ass for not meeting metrics, so who seriously gives a fuck anymore? Do what you can, politic out the ass, find some excuses and work on making your community a better, whiter place. You really think some corporate globo homo company isnt gonna fuck off anyways when the going gets rough?

This company has already shown they give zero fucks about you, your skillsets, or your time, and you want to entertain them with the idea you can do it all. And what next, are you gonna suck their dicks too?

Lol. This is the sediment I am worried about. Perhaps it is the right thing to do, but I have 5 kids and need to make sure I have income. Perhaps its my pride, but I don't want to go on welfare for them (my wife has said we should do this a few times but I just don't feel right about it).

I aint suckin' no dick neither, but the hyperbole does serve a good point--the one I am struggling with now.

Downsize your lifestyle so you can stop being stuck.

Dont fucking quit, but dont blow your load either. Just find out what the bare minimum is to not get fired, and work off of that. Then, when someone asks you to do XYZ, tell them your overworked and to hire more resources. In my company, for example, the upper management intentionally failed to do some tasks, as a political maneuver to hire more resources. It eventually escalated until all our asses were on the line, but no one got fired. Use the company politics to your advantage

In other words, just start working like the blacks do. This is the best advice. Just keep pushing back.

Spend 1/2 your "work hours" updating and sending out your resume. Get offers, use it as leverage.

You look out for you and your kids. You think spending 70 hours so those kids can be "taught" by the t..v, jewtube, and feminist's at "skool" are helpful ?

Meet with your boss (or bosses) and say "I'm taking on a lot of additional responsibilities and I want to be certain that I have them prioritized correctly. I want to work as efficiently as possible."

Present them with a detailed list of the job tasks and make them put the tasks in order of importance. Don't allow them to cop out and say they are all equally important. You must get a list in order.

Then take on the tasks in exactly that order. When people start complaining about unfinished business, point out that all the tasks at the top of the list are completed and that your boss put the list in that order. Then the complainers need to go to your boss to complain about his priorities instead of blaming you. Eventually the boss will realize that the list is too long and hire someone or shift tasks to someone else.

Repeat this process as often as needed. Every new task must be given a priority number.

Honest advice. Always have another place ind mind and talk to other places. Always negotiate from a position of power. Get a promotion or take next job. Ask God for advice

Just do what you can in your 8 hours. If you're expected to work overtime, don't do it for free. If you're overtime exempt remember that there are rules about that, like your employer can't be in charge of your working hours.

Keep your mind in the present moment. Do one thing at a time. If they bitch, tell them you are one man with only two hands. Not your job to do everything. They can only expect so much from one person. That problem is not yours to fix. Stressing the hell out about shit like that will have a detrimental effect on your health. I know from direct experience. Practice mindfulness and live in the moment. Be aware of your breathing and pay attention to the tension in your body that you do without even realizing it. With this practice, you can get through an entire work day and feel like you haven't done a damn thing. A LOT of energy is burned when your breathing is shallow and body is tensed up. Mindfulness and perspective is the thing. Those people are stressed out. You don't have to be. That is most definitely a choice.

Subcontract your work to illegal aliens and chinese, pay slave wages. That is legal as of 2 days ago.

Dress like a lord and tell them to zip

Gather a list of all the things you have to do. Give them to your boss and ask for help prioritizing them. Let them decide what order you need to take care of everything.

What kind of work do you do? Are there things you can automate?

I work with data aggregation. And I have begun to automate what I can. There are lots of access restrictions regarding data types (PII being a great example)
