- sow fear, paranoia, in order to paralyze potential sources of activism, accuse the proposed of being some government agent or shill in order to discredit the members in the community that could inspire activism in its members. - compare effective strategy or a new approach to the behavior of disliked groups, or imply that doing these things is going to be liked by these groups. - sow division by insulting some subset of the community, a divided community is one that sabotages itself. (I will admit, my encounter with these guys made me into one for a time) The problem with these sorts is that they can create useful idiots who honestly buy into their shilling, and shill on their behalf. They make genuine members of our community behave like themselves, basically contracting a community to do their work for them. How to spot a shill: They never contribute towards activism, they never try to improve proposals or offer alternatives, and instead are only concerned with convincing others to abandon the pkans for activism that had been presented. Their only goal os to keep us from doing anything but continuing to post on the site, essentially removing us from the political landscape entirely. They have effectively killed us off, as we are defined by our political presence, We may as well not exist, as we are wholly irrelevant at this point in time.
