Being a science major both times I would say the ability to synthesize information, think objectively, and learn how to properly execute experiments within the scientific method. So many people memorize definitions and think they know more than science majors and doctors it's so assinine And listen it was a phase when I dated women who had to have the Starbucks froofroo drinks
What are you opinions on the "science" being used to promote the COVID vaccines as safe?
No medical procedure of any kind is safe. My expertise is in physics and geosciences so I'm not really an expert on the vaccines. That said having read some of the literature and looked into the development process, while it's definitely the highest risk vaccine ever approved for use I think the risk vs reward factor means it should be available to those who want it. COVID isn't tremendously lethal but if we don't do something to stop its ability to infect hosts only a slight mutation would turn it lethal as fuck. COVID was always concerning because of how easily transmitted it is. If it actually became dangerous lethality wise there's little to stop it before it inflicts massive damage. Remove viable hosts. Greatly reduce the chance of dangerous mutations. Hope this helps and was neutral and objective.
