At least you get good views. I worked in gov for too long and was paid "ok". I made me want to use high speed metal to remove myself from existence. It was so boring and the people sucked so much that a good day was if I only had 3 idiots bother me while I was trying to get actual work done. I went back to private. Its more busy and I have to prove myself but I am a lot happier than sitting around being pissed off that my tax dollars pay for people to do fuck-all. (and I have to watch it daily).
