I don't know how anyone can look at those results and say it's a great leap forward.
It was never meant to be "better" than gpt. Although it is. The main takeaway is this AI, that is on par or better than gpt, cost a fraction of the price that openai or any other AI company in the US. And people are noticing. Hence the tech stocks diving. Openai is currently begging for $500 billion.
It cost a fraction because it's piggybacking off the heavy lifting American companies already did. If he started from scratch like openai did, it would have been just as costly. It's chinese imitation masquerading as innovation, just like they always do. It's obvious because it gives the same kind of jewed responses as gpt.

What? No they didn't. They trained the model themselves. Just like every other AI company. It would be pretty hard to "piggyback", whatever you think that means, closed sourced code. Not sure where you are getting your info from, but I would stop buying it if I were you.
