No. Shit.

Archive: https://archive.today/PvVaw

From the post: You really are not supposed to install OpenClaw on your personal computer. It needs to be on its own separate computer, Mac Mini or otherwise. It must have its own phone number — one that you install on your phone as a dual eSIM so that you can receive its 2FA SMS codes. It must not have its own iCloud account, to prevent it from reading its 2FA codes itself (on, say, the Messages app on a Mac Mini).

People have been warned repeatedly that LLMs are not reliable or trust worthy and yet they continue to give them direct access to sensitive things. We need to keep putting out the warnings for new people, but some people insist on learning everything the hard way.

Even the idiot he was retweeting didn’t learn from having hundreds of his emails deleted. He thinks the solution is more pre‐prompt instructions for the LLM. Maybe after his next disaster he’ll start listening to this advice, or maybe he’ll eventually give up on OpenClaw and wonder how other people are using it without ruining their life on a regular basis.

The idiot that had their emails deleted was a woman. Who is apparently in charge of keeping shit just like this from happening.

It’s such a cool tool. I wish I had the time and know-how to set it up properly. For now I’ll just content myself with knowing better than to install it.

I just want an AI Cat girl to sit on my desktop and talk to me. Is that too much to ask?
