I've posted this before but Elon is eerily coming off as an early Bill Gates or Google to me.

He is attracting the best talent and genuinely coming off as the 'do no evil' / 'good guy' right now. And they're creating the best tech in many different fields.

In this case it's already obvious it's being used by the government. But otherwise it's one small step from it all converting to evil companies.
