Then a vacuum filter system should be mandetory for workers that use one.
Just the fumes from the melted plastic being extruded can cause some issues. These things need to be used in a garage, or a room with superb ventilation.
Bottom line is to keep good air circulation in you AO. If possible, use a more bio-friendly plastic like PLA. If not possible, keep it well ventilated or use an exhaust system.
Should be common sense since it's literally melting plastic, but thanks for posting. Made it sticky.
Well I guess I won't have one for a while :(
I'm sure it's about as much toxins/carcinogens as breathing the fumes from overcooked bacon (which is an offense punishable by death). Who knows, maybe I'm slowly dying due to my nick-knack printing habits, but I've been printing in a fairly average sized room for some time now with no issues. ALTHOUGH that's with PLA... ABS is definitely a hazard, but if you're new to 3D printing and don't plan to drop $3,000+ on a printer, you won't be printing ABS anytime soon.
Apparently my 3D printer is killing me when I use PLA.
