I've a ton of experience with FDM. Minimal experience with resin myself, outside jewtube and using a resin printer once, 5ish years ago from a friend. Is it still the same PITA level of use? It was a PITA to clean that thing to get a model done.

OK - lets consider it is still the same PITA... clean the resin every print, or print a bunch of shit in one go and then clean the thing? I can see lining up a few things I'd want to try in resin, before I set off for a print session with it, considering the cleaning and prep.

What are you using, and why? I'm not asking what is the latest and greatest. Feel free to add what you'd go to from today's crop. I, like you can read the internet and listen to jewtube. I want to hear Poal's answer here. We've some smart folks in this sub.

Please don't deviate into FDM.

My strategy is to simply use the library printer. I submit my prints via an attachment, get notified it's ready and puck it up. I don't care what kind of printer they use or what maintenance it requires.

Yeah, if you live somewhere with a service like that it is a good way of going about things unless you really want to have your own printer.

I have zero experience with Resin. I would be interested in this too since they do produce very high-res prints depending on the "printer" and resin. Apparently they are easier to paint to so if you are into mini-figs like warhammer it's probably the way to go.
