So it only happens with large objects that are close to the left side of the build plate. The top layer is AFU. The only thing I can think of is that is where the fan is, on the left side. But this print is only about a half inch tall, so the fan is never blowing directly on the print because the build plate is still well above the level of the fan. It is 10x6 in size but only a half inch tall. The rest of the top came out fine but the left edge is trash. Happened with multiple filaments. I even tried drying the filaments to see if that was it but no luck.

Any ideas?

The P1S has an automatic calibration routine I will try running that. Stuff I print that is more centered on the build plate don't seem to do it. Also, I could try rotating the model 90 degrees so that it prints front to rear instead of side to side.

It's worth a shot. I also saw that it could be related to the speed of the print head.

I would think that it would be messed up more than just in that one area. I don't know though.

Possibly, it could depend on the distance traveled while re-aligning with the layer to continue the print. I have seen some odd behavior with my printer for things like that.

For example, over extrusion due to the head taking too long to move to the other side of the bed while it is still hot enough its basically "auto extruding" then having artifacts afterward because its under-extruding since some material that would have been in the head was dropped on the way.

Depending on how much you are printing you probably should be cleaning the head from time to time too but I would expect more problems if you had a clogged print head.
