I thought it didn't look right. I had to lay the model down otherwise it would complain there were missing layers on the sword. When I paint on the on the supports (using prusa slicer) that was the result so I just tried it to see if it worked

Cool mate, thanks. I couldn't see anywhere in prusa slicer how to do tree supports but I'll have a look online.

Try bambu slicer, its built on prusa slicer. Has some better features, like tree support.
You do not need a bambu printer. Under prepare, in the printer drop down. Click create printer, and select your printer model from there.
Also give Cura slicer a try. Ive used it successfully for some things in the past as well.
