They're awesomely weird - keep making them, and they'll learn to look at things differently and not cave in to conventional thoughts so readily. Wish I could remember the name of it - think someone posted a link here last week or so... There's a shape - like a rounded trigonal pyramid, that is equal height regardless of the surface you measure from. Shape looks f'ed, but it can serve as a rolling bearing between planar surfaces. You need to make some of those!
