Right on!! Welcome to the club!!
For CAD I am using FreeCad, it's free, and pretty powerful with the newest release, they are in the big leagues now.
I have a Bambu printer so I use the Bambu slicer, it is pretty straight forward and you can even edit your models in it. I suppose you can do that with other slicers but this is the only one that I have experience with.
Thanks buddy, I'll check out freecad.
I got prusaslicer and made a profile for the neo2 printer, since they only had the mega settings, got the first print going now.
I did find that the USB/SD card used to load the gcode files actually had a few slicer programs on it, including one from the actual manufacturer. Ah well.
Was that Benchy your first print? I have never printed that. My printer even came with a Benchy outboard motor to make it cooler.
Yep that was it!
Hahaha thats real cool.
I gave to to my 2yo daughter to play with.
