Cool, is that your own design or did you pull it from somewhere? I use thingiverse for a lot of the stuff I print. I often just grab something that is close to what I want and modify it but I have not had a lot of time to do anything with my printer for a while.
I also started having bed adhesion problems with a new filament I am using and have not worked out the cause yet. I think I have the bed temp too low or maybe my print speed is too fast or maybe my hotend is too hot... not sure which one yet.
It was downloaded from MakerWorld. The volume of files there is staggering.
I'm no pro yet but if I were you I would just start with a bed glue stick and see how that works out. It's dirt cheap and from what I understand it solves most adhesion issues. Also, I think I read somewhere that build plates are consumable items and eventually they just wear out and need replaced.
Yeah, I use the Aqua Net hairspray method. 1. Clean build surface (scrap as best you can). 2. Clean with rubbing alcohol. 3. Spray with aqua net, use a paper towl get a even coat. 4. Wait until dry and start print.
It usually works for me but this new filament might have a different formula than the one I was using before. I think its a heat thing though since my last print was getting curling around the edges even though it was a few CM thick already, I don't usually run into problems like that when the layer is already that thick.
You're probably right on that, I see they have a few different kinds of glues that they say are for different kinds of filament.
