It is a Monoprice Maker Select V2, #113860 which is loosely based on a Prusa i3 in all metal.

Plugged it in and all axes move and bed and head heat up. Cleaned it up and will mess with it later today.

Don't forget to calibrate! Moving a machine can throw everything off.

This is like my 7th 3d printer. ;)

I figured anything on it could be repaired but an pleased nothing was broken that I could find yet but I have lots of parts like nozzles, extruders, cables, controllers, and most anything else major. The sdcard had about a dozen gcode files on it so it was working for the previous owner.

It also has the z axis braces, glass bed, and printed spool holders mods done to it. It's my best score so far at that place.

Suggestion: print a dozen large butt plugs, and send them to @OK so he will stop his seething and girlish raging

There is also Free Geek, a charity that refurbishes old computers and sells them for cheap. I doubt they'd have any printers and most of the macs go immediately to the Apple geeks working there but it's a good place to get stuff if there's one in your city.

Ohhhhm it gets better. I has an upgraded aluminum bed holder and a MicroSwiss extruder and hot end block which I suspect is all metal.

We're definitely living in the future, you found a 3D printer at the junk yard. Next they'll have flying cars down at the wrecking yard.

It's my best score to date but I have gotten a lot of computers, monitors, steel, and even briggs style horizonal motors I want for projects like go karts and minibikes. One was a whole rototiller with a complete 5hp briggs on it.

I wish! Looks like we will have junkyards full of electric cars with toxic chemicals leaking from them everywhere. Sure, we were promised flying cars and moon bases but look what we got!

Looks a lot like mine. I could never get mine to print right. Didn’t have the time to figure it out and nobody I know nearby has a 3D printer, so it’s just a big albatross for me.

I still have it. I’m just bad with it, and don’t have the patience or skill to get it running. Which is sad.

We can help you in this sub if you want to mess with it again. More than a few people on Poal do a lot of 3D printing. There is a learning curve but one you get there it's a lot of fun and you can spend time watching it print instead of fighting it.
