Mill, laser, or plasma cutter?
I accidentally looked at a plasma cutter when I was younger. Had a spot in my vision for like a year. Luckily it wasn't in my scope eye
For now just a mechanical cutter / pen plotter. Something kid friendly that can do double duty IRL shitposting.
Check out the Cricut Explore or the Maker machines.
Sister in law has one of those and it seems a nice machine. The only drawback is that It's an older version that won't do spools and they aren't Linux compatible.
I bought one of the new Silhouette machines because I only use Linux, extended family can borrower it for larger prints, and these are supported by inkcut eliminating the need for wine.
Got the whole thing up an running in 5 minutes. (Gentoo linux)
