I get everything you are saying... and you are spot on, BUT...
What I am saying is that I can already push a stock 8bit E3Pro to 120mm/s with zero problems of underruns and stutter. My feeling is that beyond this you will run into different limitations, in particular minimum layer times. I would need to dramatically mod the part cooling to be able to go faster or else I would expect to start seeing slump and vertical compression... I mean I guess we could push the bleeding edge but it is not really what I am interested in. I care about and optimize for print QUALITY not print SPEED and in a general sense one must always be sacrificed for the other... and as such I don't ever really see these types of underruns happening.
